Resist: Printmaking a Resistance

Editor's Note:

Hand printed prints by AD Avila channel the spirit of resistance.

What a time we are living in: the Trump era is one of fear and chaos.

As a visual artist, I wanted to create images via printmaking techniques that spoke to the unjust practices taken by those in charge of protecting us. From our universities to our sacred lands we as the people need to RESIST. Prints were created using screen printing and hand-carved wood blocks printed by hand.
